Built between 1900 and 1908, the C Class was the SECRs answer to the growing need for a standardised freight locomotive design. It proved extremely successful with a total of 109 being built, and many survived into the 1960s on mainline duties with BR. This model depicts running number 4 in the later simplified Lined Green of the SECR.
Constructed from a multitude of high-fidelity parts and decorated with an exquisite paint finish, the Graham Farish C Class has an impressive technical specification to match, employing a powerful coreless motor to drive the wheels. The tender houses a speaker and Next18 DCC decoder socket, making it easy to add sound, or opt for aSOUND FITTEDversion and the work is done for you, so you can enjoy realistic sound effects straight from the box on both Analogue and DCC.
