A versatile laser cut bonded warehouse building kit for OO gauge model railway layouts and 1:76 scale diecast dioramas. Packed with realism including detailed interior walls, floors & ceilings, finely detailed, glazed windows, wall mounted hoists, pre-weathered exterior brick textures and optional ghost signs. Modelled on a real-life warehouse on Limehouse Wharf in London, it offers you complete versatility as a modeller. Use it in its original form as a warehouse, or customise the interior and use it on a modern layout as executive apartments.
The fully detailed interior features wooden panelling & paintwork to the office walls, white painted interior warehouse walls with weathering, exposed brick patches and general discolouration. The exterior features realistically weathered red brick walls with blue brick banding and arches above the windows. Optional ghost signs, lightly weathered laser cut roof slates and finely detailed wall mounted hoists add that extra finishing touch to make this building the centrepiece of any dockside or industrial scene and are all included with the kit.
The kit is supplied with laser-cut parts for ease of assembly and the fully weathered paper wraps and roof slates mean no additional painting or weathering is required for a "Realistically Better" finish to the walls and main building straight from the pack.The windows & doors are supplied laser-cut from our eco-friendly laserboard and are packed with detail.
Doors & window frames do require painting before the kit is assembled which can be done with solvent or acrylic based paints and the front and rear of the building have unique door & window configurations as can be seen in the photos (larger door centre of the front wall... identical width doors in the centre of all floors to the rear). We used a simple matt black car spray for our test build which give it them a lovely weathered, industrial feel. For a more modern feel, use a gloss black or grey to represent a renovated building being used as apartments.
There's also plenty of scope for customisation too... The fully detailed interior walls make detailing and customising the interior a breeze. Add stacks of sacks, shipping crates, sack trucks and other details to create a super-realistic warehouse scene. Office desks & filing cabinets can also be added to the corner office too.
You can also choose from plain weathered red & blue brick or add the optional ghost signs (included in the kit) for a unique finish for your layout. The finely detailed laser cut hoists can also be assembled so that they can be moved & posed once assembled, giving scope for animation if so desired.
